The Million Dollar Massage
Welcome to the March issue of the Million Dollar
Massage newsletter.
I've had an incredibly busy February with several
projects going on at once. I'm feeling a
huge need for a vacation. But, before I go
anywhere I want to share with you some great
information on
obtaining abundance.
I don't know about you, but I've been desiring
abundance in my life. Several years ago I heard the
quote, "you're going to think anyway, so think big".
Lately I've been taking that saying to heart then
VIOLA I find 3 great books on the subject.
If you are desiring abundance in you life,
run don't walk to the nearest bookstore and
get:
- Open Your Mind to Prosperity by Catherine
Ponder
- Ask And It Is Given by Ester & Jerry Hicks
- The Amazing Power of Deliberate Intent by Ester
& Jerry Hicks
What does abundance have to do with your massage
practice? EVERYTHING! Your mindset of creating
abundance in your life is the key to your success.
Plus this is called the
Million
Dollar Massage newsletter not the "How to
Barely Get
By in My Massage Practice" newsletter.
I hope you get as fired up about life and prosperity
as I have been.
I also want to share with you 2 LaStone Therapy tips
and talk about the Young Living essential oil of
Abundance (of course).
Last month's winner of the foot scrub did not email
me back to claim it, so if you would like a free 2oz jar
of a special foot scrub, be the 12th person to email
me and I'll ship it right out to you. Please include
your name and full address.
I wish you a very prosperous month and I'd love to
hear about your success.

LaStone Therapy Tip #1
Using Stones to Keep the Feet Either Warm or Cool
There are so many things to do with the stones and
because I am a LaStone Therapy instructor and
practitioner I have access to numerous techniques.
Even if you don't do LaStone as long as you have hot
and cold stones you can incorporate this simple tip
into your repertoire.
It's still pretty cold here in NH so I use the hot
version. If you live in a warm climate (lucky you),
you may choose to use a cold stone instead .
While your client is supine, place either a fresh hot
stone from the roaster or cold stone from the cooler
on the table just in front of your client's heel. Be
careful not to let the stone touch their foot.
Then, using the bottom sheet, cover and cocoon the
foot so that either the heat or the coolness from
the stone will radiate into that small space.
Using a hot stone has a more dramatic effect
especially if your client is complaining of cold feet.
Sometimes just covering the feet with the top sheet
or even a blanket isn't enough to really warm your
client's feet.
During a massage the body temperature drops a bit
and as your client is sinking into relaxation they may
not have the energy to say,"hey, my tootsies are
cold".
Using this technique is like giving your client their
own foot warmer. It's a very personal touch and
they will notice your attention to detail and your
desire to make them feel special.
I have found in my years of practice that adding
these small
but mighty gestures keeps my clients coming back
and
they continue to refer their friends to me. Plus it's
another Million Dollar Massage tip to add to
your toolbox.
LaStone Therapy Tip #2
Using Hot & Cold Along the Spine
Using hot and cold along the spine may sound a little
chilly but after doing some heavy, deep tissue work
on the back this is a delicious ending. And those
warmed up back muscles will welcome the cool down.
Here's the technique:
- complete your deep tissue work on the back
- gather enough stones to do 2-3 rounds of
effleurage plus 1 more hot stone & 1 cold stone
- finish 2-3 rounds of effleurage with the
stones
- hold cold stone in left hand and hot stone in right
hand
- have client take in a breath
- as they exhale place both stones on the back at
about C7
- here's the thrust of the technique
- the cold stone is going to be held in place while
you move the hot stone down the lamina groove to
the sacrum
I usually run the hot stone up and down the spine
twice then slide both stones down the spine, cold
chasing hot. Repeat on the other side.
If your cold stone is slim, you can get it up on it's
side
and work right into the lamina groove.
The temperature of the stones and the way you use
them is what has the ability to heal your clients and
save your hands from stress injuries.
LaStone offers at least 12 different continuing
education classes that will exceed your expectations
and catapult you into becoming a master stone
therapist.
I can't stress enough how you will save your hands,
thumbs and wrists from injuries if you work
efficiently with stones. You will also build a toolbox
of techniques that will keep your clients satisfied
and you'll be full of enthusiasm for your work.
Create the Law of Attraction
Use the Essential Oil of "Abundance"
This oil blend was created to enhance the Magnetic
Energy in our aura through electrical stimulation of
the somatides and cells. As you inhale this oil or
wear it on your wrists as a perfume, consider
thoughts of harmony and abundance.
Remember, The Law of Attraction means that what
you
think about expands. I challenge you to use this
oil while reading any of the books that I
recommended and watch your life and practice
improve.
The Young Living Oil blend called "Abundance"
contains the following essential oils:
- Myrrh
- Cinnamon Bark
- Frankincense
- Patchouly
- Orange
- Clove
- Ginger
- Spruce
In ancient Biblical times the oils of Myrrh,
Frankincense, Cinnamon, Patchouly and Clove were
associated with money and wealth. Orange is
considered a "joyful scent" and Spruce helps to
create a feeling of balance.
In addition, this oil blend has high anti-viral and anti-
bacterial qualities. It's fragrance is spicy, rich and
heady.
Other ways to use this oil is by putting a drop on
your checkbook, wallet, date book and phone. I'd
love to hear about the changes of abundance that
will occur in your life.
